Becoming a parent makes you grow up and own up to a lot of things. Clay Aiken has FINALLY admitted to being gay.

“Yes, I’m gay,” he reveals in this week’s People. “I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things.”  Clay and son Parker grace the cover of the celeb friendly magazine which also garnered the big I’m-Gay cover featuring Lance Bass back in 2006. Clay became a father in early August. Parker’s mom is Clay’s pal and producer Jaymes Foster. Parker was conceived via artificial insemination.

I’ll bet Clay feels like a huge weight has been lifted off his shoulders.  You can’t really enjoy your life when you are hiding a such a big secret.

Sharon Stone has lost custody physical custody of her oldest son 8-year-old son Roan. According to court documents obtained by ET , physical custody goes to Sharon’s ex-hubby Phil Bronstein. Court documents state that Brostein”shall have permanent sole physical custody of child. Court finds that Respondent (Sharon Stone) failed to meet her burden of proof and denies Respondent’s (Sharon Stone’s) request for modification of custody.”

This is some shocker. Courts are very mom friendly. For them to take custody away from a wealthy mother is an even bigger deal. No word on what caused the custody change yet. Sharon is also mother to two sons she adopted solo Laird, nearly 4 years-old and Quinn,2. I wonder what this means for the other boys. If one child was not fit to live with Sharon, will these children be removed from the home as well?

Celeb parents Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony only recently hired a nanny for 5 1/2 month old twins Max David and Emme Maribel. “I did it for a long time but we started using a nanny a few weeks ago,” Lopez told People recently.

“[Most days] I get up early with them. Then when the nanny comes, I can take a shower and give them their breakfast. She’s there to help me get things done.”

Though she recently completed a triathlon, she’s not obsessed with her body being exactly what it was before the babies. (I’m guessing that taking care of twins is a good start to post pregnancy weight loss. ) “The triathlon really helped get me in better shape, and snapped me back into my body,” she said. “I don’t weigh myself a lot. I still have 10 lbs., or so. [But] I don’t have any problems with it. I never felt I had to get rid of it.”

Her hubby agrees, she says, “Marc loves the way I look!”

Jennifer completed the annual Malibu Nautical Marathon which raised money for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Mark Wahlberg and his fiance Victoria Secret’s model Rhea Durhman have welcomed their third child.  According to US , the baby was born on on Tuesday in Los Angeles.  The couple are already parents to 4-year-old  Ella and a 2-year-old Michael.  Despite their growing family, they only recently agreed to marry.  They actually split afte Ella was born.

“We continue to grow in our relationship, and we have a much better chance of succeeding and staying together now,” he  said prior to the birth.

“I was not prepared to be married, no matter who it was when I was 20 or 30,” the 37-year-old actor added. “Committing to making it work and all the other things that go into building a solid foundation is where I’m at now.”

The couple worked hard to make it work. “We broke up after Ella was born. We’d been on again, off again for those few years. But we always wanted to make it work, we wanted to be together, we wanted to raise our family together. And it’s been a lot of hard work and counselling, and I think that’s the only way to make it work, to put in the time and effort.”

Congratulations to the happy couple.  I wonder what they named him?

Jada Pinkett admits that neither she nor hubby Will Smith are particularly strict with any of their three children. However, Trey, 16,(by Will’s first marriage) Jaden, 10, and Willow, 7 can always count on their Oscar nominated Dad to be the more lenient parent especially when it comes to sweets.

“He’s so lenient on that stuff,” she told People Magazine last month. “Daddy tends to [say], ‘Yeah! Have chocolate cake for dinner! It’s all right with me.’ I’ll come home and it’s just, ‘Has anyone had lunch?’ ‘Yeah, I had some Frosted Flakes!’ “

Jada said that she understands the importance of limits.

“We’re not strict but we definitely believe it’s a very important component for rearing children,” she said. “It creates safety for them. They understand that they need guidance.”

The homeschooling mom is set to star n the Lifetime series Times Heals.

Pinkett Smith will play Nancy Hawthorne, which the network describes as the strong but caring director of a nursing hospital in North Carolina, a single mother who places the pain of others first.

Lynne Spears released a memoir of sorts on Tuesday.  Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World chronicles the ups and downs of raising two daughters in the spotlight. This morning, Lynne talked with Today’s Meredith Viera about how 17-year-old Jamie Lynne revealed her pregnancy. According to Lynne, Jamie handed her a note and told her read in in her room to read it.

“I was just truly in shock and then I started to cry. And then she started consoling me at that point,” Lynne said.

She also blames herself for many of the problems her daughters have encountered. “As a mother, don’t we always blame ourselves? I mean, we’re the first one that’s gonna take the blame,” she said during the interview. “We never get the credit, but we always question ourselves and say, `What did I do? We had this talk just a month ago.’ I mean, I had no idea. I took a lot of the blame. I took all the blame.”

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber’s son Alexander is walking! The 13-month-old Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete didn’t just walk, he ran in Rushcutters Bay Park in Sydney, Australia.  Naomi and Sasha met friends for an afternoon of fun. Naomi and Liev Schreiber are expecting their second child this winter.  Naomi will next appear  in The International with Clive Owen. Naomi Watts plays Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Eleanor Whitman who is on a quest “bring to justice one of the world’s most powerful bank.”  The film is set to premier on February, 19 2009.  She’ll probably back her pre-preganancy weight by then.  I never really liked her.

The Madden-Richie has embarked on another project.  Last month the foundation, started by Nicole Richie and partner Joel Madden, created a gift registry for mother’s in need.  The couple, parents to 8-month-old Harlow Winter Madden, plan to build a playground at  Beyond Shelter.  Beyond Shelter is a low income housing facility that helps “combat chronic poverty, welfare dependency and homelessness among families with children, through the provision of housing and social services and the promotion of systemic change.” Currently the 175 children who live there have no place to play.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden announced Monday a text-messaging effort with MySpace to benefit their Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation.

To donate $5 text CHILD to 90999. The money will be charged on your bill the following month and donated to the foundation.

“We think there should be a playground on the concrete slab you’re sitting on,” Madden said to a crown that gathered for Marble Slab ice-cream and the announcement. “It’s bigger than building a playground, but this is an exciting start. And I’ll come play on it.”

Actress, and boxer Laila Ali, 30 and her husband, former NFLer star Curtis Conway, have welcome a son.  Curtis Muhammad Conway, born August 26th, weighed in at  6.8 lbs. Leila had wanted to have a home birth but it looks like that was a no go.  Publicist Thea Ellis, said, “There were some surprises during labor that altered Laila’s birth plan.” She declined to elaborate, except to say: “Mom and baby are both healthy and happy.”  Laili talked about her possible parenting styli in the September issue of Pregnancy.

“Hopefully I won’t be too strict, because that’s something I could see myself doing — being too protective and strict,” Laila revealed. “I hope to be patient and fair and just a good example to my kids — and consistent. I think it’s important to teach kids values and morals, how to love themselves, and how to be a leader, not a follower.”

Sounds like she’s off to a good start.  Congratualtions to the happy couple.

Gosh how time flies. Dannielynn Birkhead turned 2 on September, 7. US sat down with dad Larry Birkhead to talk about how the last couple of years have changed him. “I think about life in a different way,” he explained. “I had kidney stones and was in the hospital for a week in July. I was freaking out thinking, If something happens to me, Dannielynn is by herself. I’m all this little one has left.”

Anna Nicole died five months after Dannielynn died of of an overdose.

He also remarked on the similarities between the two. “Some days I think she looks just like her,” he reveled. When I take pictures of her she likes looking at them just like her mom did.”
